When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. We will ususally continue to check you for about two years once you start wearing your retainers, but that does not mean you will stop wearing your retainers after two years. The Drs. suggest you keep your retainers as long as you want to keep your teeth straight. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far. Remember to remove your retainer before brushing, and brush your acrylic retainer before placing it back in your mouth.
