Dr. Scott Hamilton, DDS, MSD

A native of Topeka, Kansas, "Dr. Scott" received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC), School of Dentistry, where he graduated with the highest scholastic standing in his class and received a number of other awards for academic excellence. Dr. Scott earned his master's degree in dentistry while completing his orthodontic residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
In addition to his full-time orthodontic practice, Dr. Scott has published numerous research articles, served as editor of the international Orthodontic Review Journal, is on staff as a clinical instructor in the orthodontic department at the UMKC School of Dentistry and is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Scott is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He has earned the distinction of being named a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor accorded fewer than 25 percent of all practitioners.
Dr. Scott also serves on the board of directors of several professional organizations and is very active in community and charitable events. He and his wife, Mary, have three children, Whitney, Chase and Blake.
Dr. Don Wilson, DDS

"Dr. Don" received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree as well as his specialty certificate in orthodontics from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry, where he received numerous awards for his academic achievements and was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. After finishing his professional education, he returned to his hometown of Topeka to join Dr. Scott in practice. He has earned the distinction of being named a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor accorded fewer than 25 percent of all practitioners.
Dr. Don is an active member of several national professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists. He has served as contributing editor of the International Orthodontic Review Journal and holds positions in various local and state dental organizations. He is on staff as a clinical instructor at UMKC, in the orthodontic department, and is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
Dr. Don serves on the board of directors of several professional and charitable organizations. He participates in many community and church-related activities and enjoys all sports, especially tennis and golf. Dr. Don and his wife, Kim, have three children, Jordan, Erin and Scott.
Dr. Gena McGivern, DDS, MS
Dr. McGivern graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2010 and received her specialty licensure in orthodontics in December 2012.
A Topeka native, Dr. McGivern graduated from Hayden High School and attended Kansas State University, studying Kinesiology.
Her parents, also born and raised in Topeka, still reside here, and Gena's younger brother attends Kansas State University. In September 2013, Gena will marry Jeremy, also a Topeka native.
Gena enjoys spending time with her family, especially during football season (Go Wildcats!). She participates in half and full marathons with her mother, raising awareness for Cancer and her favorite place to relax is at the lake.
With her friendly, outgoing personality, excellence in dentistry and orthodontics, and her warm smile, Gena is the perfect fit for the family at Drs. Hamilton and Wilson Orthodontics.
